Suspected Drowning at Anse L’Ivrogne, Choiseul

On August 18, 2025, about 12:38 p.m., officers attached to the Choiseul Police
Station responded to a report of a suspected drowning at Anse L’Ivrogne, Choiseul.
Upon arrival, officers found the lifeless body of a male individual lying on his back
along a rocky section of the beach. The victim was transported to St. Jude Hospital
by personnel of the Saint Lucia Fire Service, where he was later pronounced dead by
a medical practitioner.

The deceased has been identified as Patrick Johnson Alphonse, a seventy (70)-year-
old resident of Bois D’Inde, Choiseul.

Investigations into this incident are ongoing.
