Miss Saint Lucia Daily Post’s Tamis Modeste Crowned Soufriere Carnival Queen

2026

Soufriere, Saint Lucia – The Soufriere Mini Stadium came alive on Saturday, June 27,

as families, dignitaries, sponsors, and supporters gathered for an evening celebrating

beauty, culture, talent and the spirit of Lucian Carnival. Five phenomenal delegates

dazzled the audience as they took to the stage, showcasing their talent, poise, and

commitment.

Following an outstanding performance throughout the competition, Tamis Modeste,

representing Saint Lucia Daily Post, was crowned Soufriere Carnival Queen 2026.

The results were as follows;

Preparation for the pageant began in January 2026, with delegates participating in

months of intensive training that included elocution, public speaking, health and

hygiene, etiquette, stage presentation, and personal development.

The organization also extends sincere appreciation to the pageant sponsors; Sugar

Beach, A Viceroy Resort; MBC Television & Real FM; Christopher Taxi; Island Time;Feel Good Tours; B&B Money Savers; and Saint Lucia Daily Post, for also for hosting

delegates at various sponsored events throughout the pageant season.

While the official prizes will be presented at a closing ceremony, the delegates were

recognized in the following categories and received gift certificates courtesy of the many

generous small businesses from across Soufriere:

Soufriere Carnival is scheduled for Sunday, July 26, and Monday, July 27. J’ouvert

festivities will begin at 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 26.

The Soufriere Events Management Organization extends heartfelt congratulations to all

five delegates for their dedication, and outstanding performances throughout the
