Firearms, Ammunition, and Drugs Recovered in Vigier, Vieux-Fort Operation;
Two Arrested
On Monday, September 22, 2025, about 4:30 a.m., officers attached to the Criminal
Investigations Department, Gangs Narcotics and Firearms Unit, Special Services
South, Special Services Dennery, and the Tactical Response Unit executed a warrant
to search for property at a residence in Vigier, Vieux-Fort.
During the operation, a search was conducted of the surrounding area where officers
recovered the following items:

• One (1) Taurus pistol with a magazine containing twelve (12) live rounds of
  9mm ammunition, and one (1) additional round chambered.
• One (1) AR-15 type rifle with a magazine containing twenty-nine (29) live
  rounds of 5.56 ammunition.
• One (1) black nylon bag containing thirty (30) additional live rounds of 5.56
  ammunition.
• Eighty-two (82) grams of cannabis resin, with an estimated street value of
  eight hundred and twenty dollars ($820.00).
  Two individuals have been arrested in connection with this seizure. Investigations
  into this matter are ongoing.
